Connect third-party services to keep your Chastity Lockbox in sync across platforms.

Closed beta — The Chaster integration is only available to a limited test group right now. That includes using Connect Chaster in the dashboard and the Research And Desire Lockbox extension on Chaster. If those options are missing or sync does not reach your Lockbox, your account may not be in the current cohort. We post updates on Discord.

Connect third-party services to your Research & Desire account. Integrations allow your Chastity Lockbox to stay in sync with external platforms automatically.

Chaster Integration

Chaster is a popular online chastity lock management platform. When connected, your Chastity Lockbox and Chaster locks stay in sync automatically.

What gets synced

How to connect

These steps apply once your account has access to the closed beta.

1. Navigate to Integrations

   Go to Settings → Integrations in your dashboard.

2. Click Connect Chaster

   Click the Connect Chaster button on the Chaster card.

3. Authorize on Chaster

   You will be redirected to Chaster to authorize the connection. Sign in and approve the request.

4. Start a lock on Chaster

   Create a lock on Chaster and add the Research And Desire Lockbox extension. Your lockbox session will start automatically.

How to disconnect

You can disconnect your Chaster account at any time from the Integrations page. Two options are available:

• Disconnect — Removes the link but preserves your historical lock data.
• Disconnect & purge data — Permanently deletes all Chaster-related data from Research & Desire. This cannot be undone.

You cannot disconnect while a Chaster-controlled lock session is active. End or abandon the session first.

Requirements

• A paired Chastity Lockbox on your R&D account
• A Chaster account at chaster.app

Known limitations

Locks must be started on Chaster

To get full bidirectional sync, start your lock on Chaster with the Research And Desire Lockbox extension. Locks started on the R&D dashboard will not appear on Chaster.

Hygiene breaks must be initiated from Chaster

Break start/end events are controlled by Chaster. You cannot start a hygiene break from the R&D dashboard for a Chaster-controlled session.

Does freeze on Chaster affect my Lockbox timer?

Yes. Freeze and unfreeze on Chaster are separate from add/remove time votes, but they update Chaster’s remaining lock duration. Those updates sync to Research & Desire, so your dashboard and Lockbox stay aligned with Chaster’s remaining time while frozen or after you unfreeze.

Some Chaster extensions are not synced

Only time changes, hygiene breaks, and voting events are synced. Other Chaster extensions (games, tasks, etc.) operate independently on Chaster.

I can't find the Research And Desire Lockbox extension on Chaster

The extension is part of the same closed beta as dashboard linking. If it does not appear when you create or edit a lock on Chaster, your Chaster account is likely not in the current test group. Watch Discord for rollout news, or email [e-mail] if you need help.

Chaster isn't syncing to my Lockbox

Sync requires an active Chaster-controlled session started with the Research And Desire Lockbox extension, and a working link under Settings → Integrations. If you don’t have beta access, the extension and reliable sync will not be available yet.
